Have the Best Summer Ever at South Piedmont Community College

March 4, 2026

Dear Parents and Community Members,

Are you looking for a way to keep your kids engaged, learning, and having a blast this summer? Look no further! South Piedmont Community College is thrilled to announce our exciting new lineup of summer camps. Designed specifically for young learners and teens ages 10 to 18, our camps promise a fun and educational experience that can only be had on a vibrant community college campus.

At South Piedmont, we view each session of summer camp as an investment in the continued education, personal enrichment, and renewal of each child. This year, we are offering a diverse variety of programs tailored to broaden creative horizons, develop critical thinking skills, and enhance technical abilities.

Whether your child is a budding chef, a future tech innovator, or someone who loves to build things with their own two hands, we have a camp that will spark their passion.

A Glimpse Into Our Exciting Camp Lineup

We are going beyond the traditional summer camp experience to offer career-focused, hands-on learning in dynamic fields:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): Dive into the tech of the future! Campers will learn how AI works, how to use it creatively, and explore the digital frontier.
  • Culinary Arts: Perfect for young foodies! Campers will chop, mix, and bake their way to delicious creations under expert guidance.
  • Health Care: Future lifesavers can explore the medical field, learn basic first aid, and see what it takes to work in modern health care.
  • Comic Book Creations:  Unleash creativity with this hands-on experience that blends sculpture and drawing, allowing young artists to bring their adventures to life with custom character masks and flipbook animations.

What You Need to Know

Our camps are taught directly by knowledgeable South Piedmont instructors, ensuring your child receives top-tier mentorship in a safe, state-of-the-art collegiate environment.

  • Schedule: Most camps run Monday through Thursday during the morning hours, leaving your afternoons free for family time! We also offer one exclusive all-day camp (please note: campers in the all-day session will need to pack a lunch, snacks, and beverages).
  • What to Wear: For the safety and comfort of our campers, especially those in hands-on programs like Culinary and Welding, we require comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes or sneakers.
  • Affordability: We believe every child deserves a great summer experience, which is why our camps are offered at highly competitive and affordable prices.
